Rail improvements on track

The Scottish Government has been advised that the rail connection to Edinburgh Airport should involve a new station at Gogar with a short tram connection to the airport terminal. This scheme would succeed the EARL (Edinburgh Airport Rail Link) scheme. Read more…

The airport connection is part of a package of measures which will create a “super corridor” between Scotland’s largest cities, with up to 15 trains per hour serving a greater number of intermediate stations - while the potential for non-stop city-to-city services is also being examined.
