New research has showed the value of cities working together for success.

Many cities around the world are now collaborating to compete. The Glasgow-Edinburgh collaboration initiative has commissioned research into who is doing what, where, and with ends in mind. You can download the Executive Summary below.

Cities from across the UK met recently to discuss these findings and discuss issues of collaboration at an event sponsored by Glasgow and Edinburgh. The importance of national government’s support for cities, including allowing them greater freedoms, has also been highlighted in a recent article by Professor Ivan Turok of the University of Glasgow.
