Glasgow launches bid to become City of Music

On 3 June a delegation of Scots travelled to Paris to officially lodge their bid for Glasgow to achieve UNESCO City of Music status. If successful in its bid to UNESCO, the United Nations’ educational, scientific and cultural body, Glasgow will join an exclusive group of world cities who have been inducted into its designated Creative Cities network.
