On the Fringe?

New figures show only 4% of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe audience come from Glasgow and Strathclyde. Reasons for this include problems of late night transport, Glasgow’s own festivals calendar, and outdated inter-city attitudes. However, while the West’s audience share may seem small, even fewer come from Edinburgh’s surrounding region, with only 2% from East, Mid and West Lothian.
